Each page pairs three skills: tracing the numeral, tracing the number word, and counting real objects (color in the circles). That number-word-quantity triangle is exactly how early-math curricula introduce numbers.

A sensible order to teach them
Start with 1–5 and stay there until counting is solid — quantity understanding matters more than neat handwriting at first. Numbers 11–20 are genuinely harder (the words stop following the pattern: eleven, twelve…), so expect them to take longer, and lean on the count-and-color circles to keep the quantity connection concrete.

The pages for 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 each combine three tasks: trace the two-digit numeral, trace the number word, and count-and-color that many circles.
