How to write the letter N
Capital N: Big line down, frog-jump to the top, then one long slant all the way down to the bottom of the second line.
Lowercase n: Little line down, then one hump.
Watch for: A slant that stops halfway — it must travel corner to corner.
Tips for teaching the letter N
Say the letter name and its sound before tracing ("N says n as in nest"). Have your child trace the gray letters with a finger first, then a crayon or thick pencil — fine-motor control comes before pencil grip. One page a day beats five pages once a week, and always end on a success.
