How to write the letter B
Capital B: Big line down, frog-jump back to the top, then two little curves to the right — top one first, bottom one slightly bigger.
Lowercase b: Big line down, then a small circle sitting on the line at the bottom right.
Watch for: Equal-sized bumps — the bottom curve of B should be a touch bigger than the top one.
Tips for teaching the letter B
Say the letter name and its sound before tracing ("B says b as in ball"). Have your child trace the gray letters with a finger first, then a crayon or thick pencil — fine-motor control comes before pencil grip. One page a day beats five pages once a week, and always end on a success.
