How to write the letter C
Capital C: One big curve: start just below the top line, swing up, around to the left, and stop before you close it.
Lowercase c: The same curve at half size, starting just below the middle line.
Watch for: Closing the curve all the way into an O.
Tips for teaching the letter C
Say the letter name and its sound before tracing ("C says c as in cat"). Have your child trace the gray letters with a finger first, then a crayon or thick pencil — fine-motor control comes before pencil grip. One page a day beats five pages once a week, and always end on a success.
