How to write the letter T
Capital T: Big line down, then a little line straight across the top.
Lowercase t: Big line down, crossed at the middle line — not at the top.
Watch for: Crossing lowercase t too high, which turns it into a small capital.
Tips for teaching the letter T
Say the letter name and its sound before tracing ("T says t as in tree"). Have your child trace the gray letters with a finger first, then a crayon or thick pencil — fine-motor control comes before pencil grip. One page a day beats five pages once a week, and always end on a success.
